Day Look for the LBM challenge.
As my trend I chose depression chic. This design is heavily influenced by the 30s.
Edit: Finally time to add my thoughts on this
With my two looks I wanted to go for a classy, elegant vintage look.
The colors.. just kinda happened (although when I think of 30s I think of cream.. no idea how the purple got in there
)
I do like the combination, though.. because I really needed the contrast.. as Manu666tb mentioned!
And lately I just love purple.
The top has very typical elements for the 30s(the drape and the small buttons), and I added a little brooch for that extra touch.
when I think of 30s, I think Marlene Dietrich too.. hence, again my beloved Marlene pants!
Fabrics used:
Top: silk satin
pants: cotton satin

i must say that i am a fan of this new approach to illustration that you have. I love the way your girls come out in illustrator. It is so professional and clean looking. And yet you maintain your original approach to drawing the body, especially the legs!
The outfit is really nice. It is put together and sleek, but also relaxed. I like the broach and the way you illustrated sheen on the shirt. I also love the well though-of tailoring and the seam lines on the top and pants are great.
